🌟 R-Quest — Privacy Policy

R-Quest is a free, family-made app for practicing the R sound in a playful way. It is designed to be used together with a parent. This page explains, in plain words, what data is processed and how.

What we do NOT collect

• No accounts, emails, or passwords
• No advertising and no analytics or tracking of any kind
• No third-party cookies

Voice recordings

When your child taps "Record", the app records a short phrase and sends it encrypted (HTTPS) to our Cloudflare service, which forwards it to Microsoft Azure Speech solely to compute a pronunciation score. The app does not store recordings: each clip is used only for that moment's assessment, and playback stays on the device until the next recording replaces it. Microsoft's processing is governed by the Azure Speech service terms.

Game progress

Stars, streaks, and tricky words are saved on the device (browser localStorage). If you use the sync code, a copy of the progress is stored in Cloudflare KV, tied only to that random code — no name, no personal identifier. Anyone who knows the code can restore the progress on another device, so treat it like a password.

Deletion

• On-device data: use the in-app reset, or clear the site data in your browser.
• Synced copy: email us your sync code and we will delete it.

• Cloudflare — app hosting, scoring proxy, sync storage
• Microsoft Azure Speech — pronunciation scoring
